Recitals

(Recitals) Performing, dancing, acting, singing or demonstrating any cultural arts at a recital gives the artist a chance to show a piece that is polished and perfected. The time, effort and discipline that an artist has to devote to the preparation for a recital is accumulated back to the artist beyond his or her imagination. Recitals help build self-confidence and self-esteem. Performing in front of an audience plays a significant role in self-confidence in all areas of life.
Recitals provide a tangible goal to work towards. In having a set date and a pre-planned artistic presentation, the artist learns how to manage their practice time and what it feels like to polish and perfect a presentation.
Recitals provide a chance for our students to extend the opportunity for their family and friends to be apart of there pedagogical and artistic education. Athletes get all the glory… everyone comes to watch football games, but no one really heads over to attend to a cultural arts recital. Why? Because it is not highly publicized. It does not get the same attention; EMCA has changed that narrative! We promote our recitals, so that it is exciting, fun and the grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins and neighbors are invited to the recital.
